Hi. I'm 32 years old and married to my best friend. We just had our first baby, Gray. We really, really love him. This blog has been the escape for my feelings, questions, excitement, fears and the joy I felt in my ten months as a pregnant lady.

Now I'm a mom....who knows what's next.

…doesn’t mean that you can’t, or won’t, have fun on Friday nights.

Sure, the ‘fun’ starts a bit earlier than it used to, but we just had a great Friday night.

It began with Flatbread at our favorite little bakery (family style dinner with lots of room for kids to play and dance!) and our very good friends.

After that, we played ping pong at Jackson’s office, giggling at Gray’s gales of laughter when he actually connected the paddle to the ball, we went to hear our friend play live, and then headed home to put a sleeping Gray to bed.

And now? We’re snuggled into the couch, watching Jackson’s newest favorite Elmo video. Yes, a true sign that we’re parents is that we’re home by 10 and watching Elmo while Gray is asleep, but Elmo is pretty hilarious. (I bet you’re curious now, aren’t you? Here’s our favorite dancing and singing Elmo clips.) Are we dorks, or just really committed parents?

So if you’re sitting there worried that your life will change when you have a baby, then here’s what I have to say. It will change. It does change. More than I could ever describe. But it’s in the most wonderful ways that you didn’t know existed, and you still get to go out with friends, hear live music, and have fun.

And have your YouTube favorites dominated by Elmo videos.
